There is so much in Lancaster, Morecambe, the Lune Valley and Carnforth, so if you’re the partner of someone attending WordCamp there’s plenty to explore and do.

The ancient city of Lancaster with its fine buildings, parks, restaurants and shops is a must. TripAdvisor says this is one of the top 10 fastest growing European visitor hot spots.

Enjoy Morecambe’s revival as a much-loved seaside resort. Boasting landmark architecture, lively entertainment, famed cross-bay walks, its views and sunsets can take your breath away.

The old railway town of Carnforth loves sharing its rich heritage. Stroll around the famous station, speciality shops and canal. Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are on the doorstep.

As for the exquisite Lune Valley, old master artists and bards had it right, immortalising its beauty in paint and poetry.
